In Colorado’s 2025 spring game, linebacker Kylan Salter made an immediate impact by recording two tackles for loss on his first two defensive snaps.
His performance drew a proud shoutout from his older brother, Buffaloes quarterback Kaidon Salter, who posted “LIL BRO” on his Instagram Story—a two-word family stamp of approval that resonated with Buffaloes supporters.

Kaidon Salter’s Brother, LB Kylan Salter, Shines in Colorado Spring Game
Kylan Salter’s college football career started at TCU before he transferred to Colorado following the end of the 2024 season. A three-star recruit from Cedar Hill High School, the 247Sports Composite ranked him the nation’s No. 58 linebacker and No. 102 overall player in Texas. Due to an injury in his debut college season, he took a redshirt year in 2023.
From the small amount of game time that Kylan had at TCU, it was clear that he was a very athletic individual with high potential, which became the basis for his very influential move to Colorado. In the team’s spring game, his first match was a sign of his fitness for the Buffaloes’ defensive line, thus allowing him to be a very effective player.
Kylan’s spectacular game made his older brother, quarterback Kaidon Salter, so proud that he wrote “LIL BRO” on his Instagram Story. The brief phrase is a family code, and Buffalo fans reacted with the same energy.
