New LSU Tigers coach Lane Kiffin may be scratching his head over the recent report of another college football tactician being given a setup that he preferred. On Monday, Dec. 1, reports emerged from collegiate football analyst Pete Thamel that current Oregon Ducks offensive coordinator Will Stein is the primary target to become the next Kentucky Wildcats’ main shot-caller.
However, unlike how Kiffin exited from the Rebels, Stein is being given the chance to finish out the current campaign, which is now entering postseason play. This means that he’ll call the offensive plays for the Ducks while preparing for his head coaching role at Kentucky until the end of the season.
Per a source, Stein is expected to call Oregon’s offense throughout the College Football Playoff. He’ll juggle both jobs until the Oregon season ends. https://t.co/PYoTBX9sY2

College football fans and spectators then compared the setup given to Stein with the one given to Lane Kiffin by his former team, the Ole Miss Rebels.
“This is how a true football school does it @OleMissFB,” one user claimed.
“As he should! (Cough cough, Ole Miss),” another user wrote.
“Mitch Barnhart just big d*cked Arkansas AND Ole Miss 😭,” another said with a crying emoji.
“Yeah, what a football school Kentucky is,” a user shared.
Other X users then discussed whether coaches should be given the same opportunity as Stein.
“How do these coaches that complain they barely have time for their one job, have the time to do two? All a bunch of prima donnas,” one user questioned.
“And everyone have Kiffin such a hard time for wanting to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs. Stein and Chesney both allowed to continue coaching,” another user posted.
“I don’t like him doing both jobs but it’s better than nothing,” a user pointed out.
Whatever the case may be for Kiffin and however the Ducks finish out the season, Stein is set to replace former Kentucky tactician Mark Stoops after the program was under his tutelage for the last 13 years. The Wildcats recently concluded their campaign, as they were unable to reach the NCAA playoffs with a 5-7 overall record (2-6 SEC). They finished as the No. 11 seed in their conference.

Lane Kiffin’s Exit From The Ole Miss Rebels Was Not As Smooth Sailing As Will Stein’s
As mentioned earlier, Lane Kiffin’s time with the Ole Miss Rebels came to a screeching halt when he announced his decision to move to the LSU Tigers.
On Sunday, Nov. 30, Kiffin announced through an emotional letter on his X/Twitter account that he is indeed moving to the Tigers from the Rebels, even if Ole Miss is just about to start its postseason.
