Kenneth Grant, the highly touted Michigan Wolverines defensive tackle, will miss the NFL Scouting Combine. Where does the top 2025 NFL Draft prospect go from here?

Kenneth Grant Out of the NFL Scouting Combine
One of the more intriguing prospects of the 2025 NFL Draft, Grant, will need to show the world at a later date. Grant will not participate in the 2025 edition of the NFL Scouting Combine, according to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport.
#Michigan DT Kenneth Grant was found during Combine medical evaluations to have a hamstring strain, per me and @MikeGarafolo, and he won’t be participating in on-field drills today.

Grant sustained a hamstring strain. For a player of his immense size (6’3″, 344 pounds), any trouble moving renders you ineffective. Additionally, for a talent like Grant, who uses speed and quickness as part of his game, the strain becomes serious.
Trying to push through an injury will ultimately make things worse. Furthermore, rest gives Grant time to get right before Michigan conducts its pro day on March 22.
All signs point to Grant’s readiness to perform that day, provided he gets a clean bill of health. The more important question remains: How does this affect his draft stock in the eyes of NFL teams? A player of Grant’s skill set today is very rare, and the potential impact cannot be understated.
Grant in the NFL
Grant feels like a nose tackle—basically, a two-down player who leaves the field during passing situations—but while he will see time against the run game, he profiles as a three-down defensive tackle.
The film supports the prospect of an interior rusher who can get home, not just eat space. His agility and footwork will lead to hard-earned sacks. While nowhere near as polished as Jordan Davis, you can see flashes of similar traits that do nothing but help a defense.

All eyes will now firmly focus on the Michigan Pro Day. A healthy Grant should participate in every applicable and available drill. This shows teams a willingness to display the entire skill set.
The Wolverine defender can literally add millions of dollars to his first NFL contract. With an elite performance, teams will fight over the right to draft him.
