    Jeff Brohm’s Salary and Contract in 2023

    Back in December, after an 8-5 record with Purdue in the 2022 season, Brohm resigned from Purdue to join Louisville to be their next head coach. Brohm agreed to a six-year, $36 million deal with Louisville that will have him at the school through the 2028 season.

    In 2023, Brohm will earn $5 million in his first season with the program. His salary will increase by $100,000 each season after that until 2028 when his final salary will be $5.5 million. Here is the full breakdown of his salary through the next six years:

    • 2023: $5 million
    • 2024: $5.1 million
    • 2025: $5.2 million
    • 2026: $5.3 million
    • 2027: $5.4 million
    • 2028: $5.5 million

    His contract also includes one-time guarantee payments each season as long as he is still employed with the school. For the 2023 and 2024 seasons, he will receive a one-time payment of $500,000 each season. In 2025 and 2026, Brohm will collect $750,000 payments each year. His final two seasons will see another increase as it goes to $1 million each year in 2027 and 2028.

    • Six wins on the season/bowl game appearance: $100,000

    Other key information from his contract includes that he is eligible to receive a two-year contract extension if the team is performing well. If the school fires Brohm without cause, then he will be owed 100% of his remaining salary and if Brohm quits then he will have to pay the school back $1 million.
