Watching Hawaii takes on a new lease of life this week as the Rainbow Warriors have an earlier-than-usual kickoff while appearing on a relatively unfamiliar network. The Hawaii vs. Washington State Cougars game will kick off at 3:30 p.m. ET and will appear on The CW Network thanks to the home team’s media deal with the network.

Hawaii travels to Pullman looking for their first victory over an FBS opponent in 2024. After earning some preseason love from the media, the Rainbow Warriors have managed wins against Delaware State and Northern Iowa but enter Week 8 with a 2-4 overall record with two Mountain West defeats on their resume.
The offense has yet to find its groove, ranking 112th in the nation while averaging just 21.3 points per game. In Timmy Chang’s run-and-shoot system, quarterback Brayden Schager leads the Mountain West in attempts, completions, and passing yards, but the Rainbow Warriors have yet to turn that production into tangible results.
