Harold Fannin Jr.’s Superb Senior Bowl Practice Performance

Fannin has had a great week of practice at the Senior Bowl so far, but he showed off his supreme hands with arguably the catch of the week.

For those who watched Fannin in college, catches like these seem routine. The 6’4 tight end is uber-talented with superb route-running skills for his position.

At only 20 years old, Fannin has plenty of room to get even better, making him one of the most exciting prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft class. But how’d he get to this point?

    Fannin’s College Career

Fannin committed to Bowling Green in 2022 as a zero-star prospect. Originally from Canton, Ohio, Fannin was destined to be a football star. Bowling Green gave him an opportunity to prove it.

Fannin didn’t play much as a freshman, ending the season with just 19 catches for 218 yards and only one touchdown.

During his sophomore season, though, his career began to take off. He became one of the top targets on Bowling Green’s roster, catching 44 passes for 623 yards and six scores. But Fannin was just getting started. He would go on to break numerous records in his junior season, solidifying himself as a top prospect in the draft.

Fannin finished his final year of college with TE NCAA records for catches (117) and yards (1,555). He also tallied 15 TDs. The season was nothing short of extraordinary, and he earned it with first-team All-American honors.

Fannin’s story is inspirational. Going from one college offer to an NFL tight end is a very hard thing to accomplish. Fannin’s Senior Bowl performance thus far is just the next step in what has been a long and hard journey for the Bowling Green legend.

Watch Fannin play in the Senior Bowl on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 2:30 p.m. ET on the NFL Network.
