If you want to maximize your Friday night slate, going with a Bulldogs quarterback/wide receiver stack is a smart way to go. Mikey Keene has nearly 1,700 passing yards with 15 touchdowns, and his receivers all have at least 32 receptions, 355 yards, and four touchdowns.
Of the three, Moss looks to be the best bet. He was the go-to guy against Wyoming with nine receptions for 115 yards and a touchdown.
Gilliam and Sherrod are both solid plays at the running back position. Gilliam gets the volume and Sherrod is more efficient with his touches. Depending on how you like to play will help you make a decision between the two.
On the Aggies side, Legas is an interesting pick at quarterback if you choose to load up on Bulldogs wide receivers. He could be the best value play with both Keene and Shedeur Sanders on the Friday night slate.
Prediction for Fresno State vs. Utah State
This is an interesting game for many reasons. The Bulldogs are coming off of their aforementioned 14-game winning streak being snapped against a really good Wyoming team.
For the Aggies, they are 3-3 but riding a two-game winning streak and blew out Colorado State by 20 after getting down 17-0. Cooper Legas has played lights out since being reinserted into the lineup.
These two teams have only played three times in their history, with the Aggies having won two of the three, but the Bulldogs won the last game they played in 2020 by a score of 35-16. The key will be Keene being fully healthy and staying in the game against Utah State.
This matchup is a tough one, but the Bulldogs are strictly a better football team and Keene’s emergence at quarterback will take them over the top.
