“Jalen Hurts Of College Football”: Fans Rip Arch Manning As Offensive Struggles Resurface vs Texas A&M

The Texas Longhorns are off to a bad start in their game against the Texas A&M Aggies as quarterback Arch Manning’s offensive woes take center stage again.

On Friday, at halftime, the Longhorns are trailing the game 10-3. Most of the blame for this subpar offense can be attributed to Manning, who could only complete 8 of 21 passes for 51 yards, while rushing for 27 yards on five carries. Texas generated only 51 passing yards in the first half, as opposed to Texas A&M’s 94.

Seeing this, the internet is already criticizing Manning, with one fan comparing him to the Philadelphia Eagles quarterback.

“Arch Manning is the Jalen Hurts of college football,” one fan wrote.

“Arch Manning when he has to face ranked opposition instead of UTEP and Sam Houston State,” another added.

“That Damn Arch Manning Only Looks Good Against FCS Schools Or Bottom Of The Barrel Competition!! It’s Time To Start Having Honest Conversation About Who Arch Manning Really Is!!!” another fan added.

“Arch Manning is horrible. It’s not even deniable anymore,” one fan commented.

“Arch Manning when he’s not playing Arkansas,” one fan wrote.

“If Arch Manning is drafted in the first round 4 rounds I’ll never watch football again,” one fan reacted.

Arch Manning on His 2025 Struggles

The 2025 season hasn’t been good for Arch Manning as he transitioned into full-time starter at Texas. In his Week 1 start at Ohio State Buckeyes, Manning completed 17 of 30 passes for 170 yards, with one touchdown and one interception. Soon his early Heisman favorite declarations went to vain.

Despite criticism, Manning has publicly vowed to improve. He said:

“I know the type of player I am,” Manning said. “I know I can be better. I know we can be better as an offense, so it’s time to get going.”

According to his head coach Steve Sarkisian, the hype around Manning was “out of control” as he urged patience, calling the rough start just one chapter.

It remains to be seen if what we saw from Manning in 2025 will continue in 2026.
