Ex-Patriots Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman Tease UNC Visit

Former New England Patriots stars Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman recently hinted at a potential trip to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In a lighthearted conversation shared on Instagram by Dudes on Dudes, Gronkowski playfully invited Edelman to join him on a visit to the Tar Heels campus.

“I think you guys should come to Chapel Hill and help me out and show these guys how it’s done,” Gronk said enthusiastically. “He probably shows a mean hell of a frat party. I bet.”

He jokingly suggested that Edelman and their group could lend some veteran wisdom to the team. While Gronkowski’s invitation may have been tongue-in-cheek, Edelman entertained the idea and mused about what a weekend at UNC would look like.

“I’ve heard they have a pretty nice library,” Edelman quipped. “I’d like to go see it. I heard it’s a beautiful campus, especially right now in the spring. I bet it’s beautifully popping with the trees coming back. Maybe water some flowers to keep the campus looking beautiful, plant some trees.”

But Gronk had other ideas. “Or do we just hit frat row and go crazy with the kids?” he suggested. “Beer pong—that’s just called a nice stroll down Franklin Street, Jules.”

Edelman played along, acknowledging his familiarity with the local scene. “How do you know?” he asked, to which Gronk confidently replied, “I know all the good spots, Chapel Hill, Franklin Street. We’ll see you soon.”

While it remains unclear if the two Patriots legends will actually make the trip, their playful exchange certainly got fans talking.

“Coach Belichick, he’s gonna do an awesome job coaching those young bucks at UNC,” Gronkowski said at the LA Bowl. “He’s gonna make college football that much more suspenseful, that much more fun, and that much more interesting.”
