Alabama RB Ezavier Crowell Now in Class of 2026
Jackson (Ala.) High School running back Ezavier Crowell is one of the top young prospects in the country. Ranked as a top 15 overall recruit in the class of 2027 by Rivals, 247Sports, and On3, Crowell ran for nearly 2,000 yards as a sophomore.

It’s a growing trend in college sports, as superstars like Duke basketball’s Cooper Flagg and Alabama football’s Ryan Williams foregoing one of their high school seasons, essentially skipping a year of high school.
Crowell has run for 3,701 rushing yards and 56 touchdowns in just two years of high school football, adding 470 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He’s as explosive as they come, averaging over 11 yards a carry and 17 yards per catch in his high school career.
Now, he’s going to get to college football a year earlier.

As expected, all of the usual suspects are after him on the recruiting trail and it looks like the in-state Alabama Crimson Tide and Auburn Tigers may have the advantage.
Don’t count out the Florida State Seminoles and Texas A&M Aggies, who have each hosted the elite running back.
Scouting Ezavier Crowell
Crowell has elite size and speed. At 5’11”, 210 pounds, he already looks like a college running back. His highlight tape (shown below) looks like those old Derrick Henry highlights, where he’s running over — and away from — entire defenses.
He’s quick to the line of scrimmage and is decisive with his cuts, getting north and south quickly. But once he’s in the open field, he has the speed to breakaway from even the fastest defenders. That said, he also displays plenty of power to run through tackles.
He’s a guy who could contribute early for a Blue Blood, which is why the sport’s best are so eager to get his signature.
