No. 1 Michigan (-2.5) vs. No. 4 Alabama

The Michigan Wolverines will ‘host’ the Alabama Crimson Tide and have their choice of bowl game to attend. The Wolverines will have to travel further to either site, but remain the favorite in this matchup as a 13-0 Big Ten Champion.

The Wolverines return to the Playoff against the Crimson Tide, who just beat the No. 1-ranked Georgia Bulldogs despite one loss on their schedule.

Alabama ranked fifth in strength of schedule and with a 4-1 record against AP Top 25 teams. Jalen Milroe made himself a legitimate Heisman Trophy contender down the stretch of the season and his dual-threat ability will absolutely be a factor in this one.

The opening line stood at Michigan -2.5, and will certainly be an interesting one to monitor.

No. 2 Washington vs. No. 3 Texas (-4.5)

The No. 2-ranked team in the country, Washington, will ‘host’ the No. 3-ranked Texas Longhorns. Texas was the first team of the four teams in question, while Washington had little drama around their placement.

The Huskies now travel to either bowl site and appear to be the underdog yet again. This comes just hours after the Huskies dominated the Oregon Ducks in the Pac-12 Championship Game as double-digit underdogs.

Texas got in after handling Oklahoma State in the Big 12 Championship and having previously defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in their head-to-head matchup to start the season.

Texas was opening favorites as a -4.5-point favorite, but this line could certainly have some movement over the build-up to the game.

You may be best advised to take the points in this one.
