Top 10 Most Fun Players to Play With in EA Sports College Football 25 Include Zachariah Branch, Travis Hunter

As the world waits for EA Sports College Football 25 to drop this July, we take a look at the top 10 most fun players the game will feature.

The most anticipated countdown of the summer isn’t for fall camp to start in August but for EA Sports College Football 25 to drop on July 19 after an 11-year break. As fans wait on pins and needles, let’s look at who the top 10 most fun players to play with on EA Sports College Football 25 will be.

Top 10 Most Fun Players on EA Sports College Football 25

    10) Ismail Mahdi, RB/KR, Texas State

The only member of the Group of Five on this list, Ismail Mahdi earned a First Team All-American nod after leading the nation in all-purpose yards (2,169). Mahdi is a scoring threat from anywhere on the field, rushing, receiving, and special teams.

He scored at least once in all three phases during the season, including a four-touchdown performance against Southern Miss — three rushing and a 100-yard kickoff return.

    9) Tetairoa McMillan, WR, Arizona

Teaming up with QB Noah Fifita, Tetairoa McMillan finished ninth in the nation with 90 receptions, fifth with 1,402 yards, and his 10 receiving touchdowns ranked 16th in the nation. He even tossed for a score on his lone passing attempt, a 21-yarder against Utah.

Both Fifita and McMillan are back in Tucson, hoping to replicate those fireworks in 2024 for new coach Brent Brennan.

    8) Harold Perkins Jr., LB, LSU

It can’t be all offense on here, and there’s no more fun on defense than attacking the opposing team’s quarterback. Look no further than Harold Perkins Jr. for the best results there. A player sure to make full use of the hit stick feature, Perkins is a heat-seeking missile off the edge with 13 sacks over the last two seasons.

    7) Quinn Ewers, QB, Texas

Despite leading the Longhorns to the College Football Playoff last year, Quinn Ewers still left a lot on the field last season with plenty of throws he wished he could have back.

That being said, Ewers is pound-for-pound one of the more accurate throwers in the country, and he plays on a team loaded with talent. If Ewers doesn’t break your fun barometer, feel free to insert his backup, Arch Manning, for a good time.

    6) Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State

Injuries hampered Emeka Egbuka’s production last season, but the 6’1″ speedster remains one of college DB’s worst nightmares. A higher-rated recruit coming out of high school than former teammate Marvin Harrison Jr., Egbuka can do it all on the field and is a YAC machine.

Ankle surgery may have slowed his trajectory, but he’s dangerous when healthy and will be a secret weapon on EA Sports College Football 25.

    5) Jalen Milroe, QB, Alabama

The last QB ever coached by Nick Saban, Jalen Milroe has been lauded more for his team’s success than his own, but make no doubt he’s as dynamic a signal-caller as there is in college football.

After waiting as a backup for the previous two seasons, Milroe got his chance last year and fired off 2,834 yards passing, 23 TDs to 6 INTs, while rushing for another 531 yards and 12 TDs. No more Saban, but Milroe comes with a stable of stacked players on the Crimson Tide.

    4) Carson Beck, QB, Georgia

With the general consensus crowning him the top QB heading into the 2024 season, few players would be more fun to play with on EA Sports College Football 25 than Carson Beck. He has the prototypical size (6’4″, 220 pounds) and arm strength of a top-notch quarterback, throwing for 3,941 yards, 24 TDs to six INTs.

Not to mention, he plays on the Georgia Bulldogs, a team full of fun players.

    3) Ollie Gordon II, RB, Oklahoma State

When the last version of this game came out, there probably would have been a lot more RBs on this list. A testament to the pass-happy nature of today’s college football, Ollie Gordon II is a throwback to a time of the workhorse back.

Gordon gained 1,732 yards rushing with 21 TDs while adding another 330 yards and a receiving score. Playing on a sneaky-good Oklahoma State Cowboys team full of solid returners, he’ll be sure to make a lot of EA Sports College Football 25 players happy.

    2) Travis Hunter, WR/DB, Colorado

Can’t decide if you want to play offense or defense? You don’t have to with Travis Hunter. A starter on both sides of the ball, Hunter is as versatile and dynamic as any player in the game.

As a receiver, he hauled in 57 catches for 721 yards and five TDs while grabbing three INTs on defense to go along with 31 tackles and five pass defenses.

    1) Zachariah Branch, WR/KR/PR, USC

Not quite a household name, Zachariah Branch had a freshman season for the ages in 2023 that might make him one soon enough.

Branch earned First Team All-American as a return specialist, scoring at least once in four different phases — two receiving, one rushing, one punt return, and one kickoff return. On 16 punt returns, he averaged 20.8 yards per return, leading the nation among players with at least two returns.

It shouldn’t be overlooked that a true freshman took over USC’s primary return duties on punt and kickoff and did it successfully while adding 31 catches for 320 yards on offense right out of high school.

He won’t have Caleb Williams to rely on this season, but his ascension should continue to rise after a year of experience under his belt.
