Colorado’s Offensive Tackle Jordan Seaton Is Destined for Greatness

Cruising in his blacked-out Maybach, Jordan Seaton is exactly like his car: fast and luxurious. It’s no wonder coaches around the country hold him in such high regard.

In his first season with the Buffalos, Seaton played and started in all 13 games, becoming the first true freshman to start at offensive tackle in an opener at Colorado and the first in the Big 12 since Texas’ Kelvin Banks in 2022. In fact, he’s only the third freshman in Buffalo’s history to start every game in a season.

Truly every quarterback’s dream offensive lineman, he played the most snaps of any Buffalo offensive player (809) and didn’t allow a sack in 11 of his 13 games. His 75.3 PFF grade ranked 6th among true freshman offensive tackles.

Seaton racked up the accolades in 2024. He was named CFN Big 12 Freshman of the Year and freshman All-American freshman offensive tackle by multiple publications.

The big man is determined and focused, with an unrelenting drive to provide for his family: “I gotta make a way for my family. If I don’t do the things that maybe I don’t want to do in the morning, who else is gonna do it?”

When asked what his first purchase in the NFL would be, his answer was humble: “I know I’m going to get my mother a huge house, but I want it custom-made, built from the ground.”

A man of many talents with unrelenting confidence, he bragged about his athleticism: “I could have played basketball too. I was like Demarcus Cousins when it came to rebounds, Kevin Durant when it came to scoring, and Steph Curry when it came to passing and dribbling—an all-in-one.”

As an offensive lineman, he truly is “all in one.” He has the speed, strength, and smarts to set himself apart.

Many experts, including Coach Prime, believe he will be a top-five pick in the NFL draft one day. When commenting on his NFL aspirations, Seaton said, “I want to be the best-left tackle to ever play the sport—Mt. Rushmore of O-lineman.”

Doing the little things right with a humble attitude and yearning for more is what helps set Seaton above. With Spring practice in full swing, his motto defining his hustle follows him every time he steps out onto the field:

“Don’t forget where you came from, but never lose sight of where you are going.”

Simple but strong words from a wise young man. I, for one, am going to have this engrained in my mind forever.
