Although the Cleveland Browns desperately need help at quarterback, if Miami Hurricanes QB prospect Cam Ward goes at one, I don’t see them taking Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders at two.
With rumors swirling that superstar defender Myles Garrett wants out of Cleveland, it makes sense for them to go with Abdul Carter, who is far and away the best pass rusher in this draft class.

Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback Will Howard (18) runs the ball against Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the third quarter during the College Football Playoff championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on January 20, 2025.
This would be a poetic pick for the Browns, as Will Howard is an Ohio State legend. If the Browns were able to keep Howard in Ohio, he could very well become the future of the franchise and see significant playing time as a rookie with the Brown’s current QB situation.

Cleveland has found its WR1 in Jerry Jeudy, but it still needs a solid WR2 next to him. While Pat Bryant isn’t the most polished receiver, he’s a deep threat with a big catch radius and elite body control. If Bryant is available in fourth, it’d be a slam-dunk pick for Cleveland.
California Golden Bears defensive back Nohl Williams (3) is called for pass interference on Auburn Tigers wide receiver Cam Coleman (8) in the end zone as Auburn Tigers take on California Golden Bears at Jordan-Hare Stadium in Auburn, Ala., on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024. California Golden Bears defeated Auburn Tigers 21-14.
Nohl Williams isn’t a top-end CB prospect, but he’s played a ton of football. He has six years of starting experience and could come in and either be a rotational cornerback or make an immediate special teams impact for Cleveland in his rookie season.

Kobe King isn’t going to be a Mike linebacker in the NFL that can be heavily relied upon in pass coverage, but he is a downhill thumper who the Browns could take here in the 6th round to develop. King is a guy like Nohl who could make an immediate impact on special teams.

Ohio State Buckeyes tight end Cade Stover(8) is defended on a passing play by Maryland Terrapins defensive back Dante Trader Jr. (12) during the second half of Saturday's NCAA Division I football game at Ohio Stadium.
Dante Trader probably isn’t athletic enough to ever play safety at a high level in the NFL, but he’s worth taking a flyer on here in a late round. He could certainly find his way into playing special teams for the Browns.
