2025 Charlotte Football Schedule
After a 4-8 season in 2024 under first-year head coach Biff Poggi, Charlotte is eager to climb the AAC standings and secure a bowl game for the second time in the program’s history. With a schedule featuring Power Four road trips and pivotal conference matchups, the 49ers’ 12-game journey offers enough opportunity to prove their worth.

Charlotte opens with a rivalry matchup against App State on August 29, seeking revenge after a 34-20 loss last season, with running back Hahsaun Wilson’s 574 rushing yards providing a lot of ammunition.
On September 6, they hosted North Carolina, a Tar Heels team that finished 6-7 in 2024, offering a shot at a marquee upset. The AAC schedule starts with Rice on September 18, a winnable home game against a team that went 4-8 last year.
A road trip to South Florida on October 3 will test Charlotte’s defense, which allowed 29.6 points per game last season, against a Bulls offense that averaged 31.2 points.
The road game at Georgia on November 22 will be a challenge, but the home finale against UTSA on November 15 could determine bowl eligibility, pitting Charlotte’s secondary against the Roadrunners’ aggressive attack that averaged 34.1 points per game in 2024.
