The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ season ended after they lost their Wild Card game to the Washington Commanders, 23-20. However, there remains a silver lining through it all.
Tampa, Fla., will host the 2029 College Football Playoff National Championship game at Raymond James Stadium, replacing Dallas and AT&T Stadium after scheduling conflicts, according to Brett McMurphy of Action Network.

Upon hearing the news fans flooded the comment section with polarized opinions.
“That’s how u know these games are going downhill,” a fan said.
Another fan referred to Dallas’ stadium’s other moniker, “Jerry World,” which is based upon the name of the Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who originally envisioned the architecture to be favorable with entertainment value, with the arena being one of the largest football stadiums in the country at 80,000 seats.
“Jerry World needs a 10 year ban from hosting any sporting events tbh.”
Others had their own recommendations for venues.
“Needs to permanently be at the Rose Bowl,” a fan noted.
“US Bank is the perfect host for a national playoff,” another fan said referring to the home of the NFL’s Minnesota Vikings.
“They should have one in Seattle. This was the weather yesterday. And Lumen Field is a world class stadium,” a fan noted alongside a picture of Seattle weather.

Raymond James Stadium hosted the title game in 2017 when Clemson won over Alabama, 35-31.
“Interesting choice,” a fan chimed in.
Tampa, Phoenix, and Houston were all backup locations for the title game; now Tampa will join Miami, Atlanta, and New Orleans as one of the few to host multiple championships since the inception of the new playoff format.
This year’s national championship game between the seventh-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the eighth-seeded Ohio State Buckeyes is being held at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. The arena was opened in 2017 in place of the Georgia Dome and is the home turf of the Atlanta Falcons.
