‘Cringe’ ‘Hard’: CFB Fans Left Divided As Nebraska QB Dylan Raiola and HC Matt Rhule Take Sly Dig at Texas

Heading into the 2025 college football season, head coach Matt Rhule, quarterback Dylan Raiola, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers will try to rise up the Big Ten standings. Rhule is entering his third season as head coach and Raiola is coming off a dynamic freshman year at the QB position.

While both the coach and player need to take the offseason seriously, that does not mean they cannot have fun. On Friday, Dylan Raiola posted a photo on Instagram of himself and coach Rhule riding a fake bull with a caption that took a sly dig at Texas.

“Take the BULL by the horns!”

Nebraska Could Be In for a Big Season if It Follows Matt Rhule’s Typical Pattern of Success

Matt Rhule is entering his third season as head coach, which has historically been a big season for him. The Cornhuskers are the third team he has coached at the college level. With both the previous teams, his teams took big jumps forward in year three.

The first team he led was Temple. In the third season, the Owls jumped from 6-6 the previous year to 10-4. A similar thing happened when he was the coach of the Baylor Bears. After a solid 7-6 second season, they improved their record to 11-3 in year three.

Matt Rhule already has the Cornhuskers on the right track through two seasons. In his first season, he led the team to a 5-7 record. However, last year, they improved to 7-6.

One of the leading factors that will determine if Rhule is able to go three-for-three with year three improvements is the play of QB Dylan Raiola. He is coming off a stellar freshman season, completing 275 of 410 passing attempts for 2819 yards and 13 TDs.

Raiola looks poised to take a step forward and become one of the best QBs in the Big Ten. However, it remains to be seen if he can make the step from good college QB to great.
