CFB Analyst Leaves Georgia Out of His Top 5 Rankings, Asks Where Are the Bulldogs’ ‘Dudes’

Despite constant success out of Athens, Georgia, it’s safe to say analyst David Pollack is not all in on the Bulldogs.

In fact, Pollack — a former Bulldog himself — just doesn’t think they have enough manpower to push them into his top five, landing them just inside the top ten in his preseason rankings.

David Pollack Leaves Georgia Out of Top 5, Questions Bulldogs’ Star Power

On his podcast, “See Ball Get Ball,” Pollack discussed his post-spring portal rankings, including his worries about so many ‘Dawgs leaving the team recently — including 55 in the last five years to the NFL Draft and 18 to the NCAA transfer portal just this offseason.

“Yeah, absolutely. I’m not putting Georgia in the top five,” Pollack said. “Dude, like, I mean, Georgia? They lost a good bit. I mean, they, you talk about – yeah, I mean, that’s a lot of guys drafted from a team that, you know, Kirby said he did his best coaching job yet, like, just to keep them in order. I’m interested to watch them, man.”

“Here’s the thing. If you told me they had to fix one thing?…Let me ask you a question. Who are you depending on right now that you’re saying is an All-American for Georgia? Because I could have named five a year ago. Give it. Give it to me. Like, this is the first time, to me, going into a season where I’m, like, who are Georgia’s dudes? Like, who are the guys? Like, defensively, offensively?”

“They just got so many places where I go, there’s a lot of holes. And, listen, do I know there’s talented guys on the roster? Yes. That’s why I’m talking about them in the top ten…But, no, I’m not,” said Pollack. “I can’t tell you what’s the position group, what’s the person, what’s the three or four people, like, that I’m attaching the Georgia season to that I know they’re going to be successful because I don’t see it. Like, I don’t know what it is.”

“I mean, I just, I don’t know, man. It’s weird because I feel like, every year, we’ve gone into it going Georgia’s the best team, Georgia and Ohio State versus everybody else, you know – Georgia and who? And, this year, I mean, I got, you know, four, five, six, seven teams that I’m like, okay, they might be fighting for that next tier of, you know, the next five.”
