Carson Beck’s Sister Reacts to Miami Debut with 5-Word Message After Being Left Stranded

As Carson Beck takes over as Miami's QB in 2025, his sister, Kylie Beck, shares heartfelt support as he prepares for Week 1 against Notre Dame.

Carson Beck will step in to fill the void left by Heisman Trophy candidate Cam Ward as the Miami Hurricanes’ new starting quarterback. Beck was initially expected to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, but he instead chose to continue his college career and will make his Miami debut in the 2025 season.

His sister, Kylie Beck, a cheerleader, celebrated her brother’s achievement with a heartfelt message. Beck is expected to start in Miami’s season opener against Notre Dame on Sunday, Aug. 31, at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Carson Beck Receives Support From Sister Kylie

Earlier this month, Beck announced his transfer to Miami after spending two seasons as Georgia’s starting quarterback. The success of Cam Ward at Miami is largely credited to offensive coordinator Shannon Dawson, who prepared him for the 2025 NFL Draft. Now, Beck hopes Dawson can help elevate his game and prepare him for the 2026 NFL Draft.

Beck had an inconsistent 2024 season with Georgia. In his first three games, he threw seven touchdowns with no interceptions, but things shifted against Auburn in September, when he managed just 240 yards and two touchdowns.

His season came to an abrupt end in the SEC Championship Game due to a season-ending UCL injury. Determined to play at his full potential before heading to the NFL, Beck opted for another year at the college level.

Despite the setbacks, Kylie Beck has remained one of his biggest supporters.

She took to Instagram, to share a series of motivational messages celebrating her brother’s transfer:

“And so the fun begins,” she wrote.

“The sky is the limit for you!! Here’s to new beginnings and a new era.”

She continued with another inspiring message:

“You’ve spent enough time in pure survival mode. Let’s live this next chapter in revival mode. It is possible to thrive while getting to where you’re meant to be.”

Beck is currently ranked fifth among top quarterbacks in 247Sports’ Brad Crawford rankings.

Joel Klatt Has High Expectations for Carson Beck in Miami

Initially, Beck declared for the NFL Draft but later withdrew his name, opting instead to commit to Miami. Within 24 hours of entering the transfer portal, he made the decision to join the Hurricanes. Given the rapid development of Cam Ward under Miami’s system, Beck could be looking to follow in his footsteps.

On Thursday’s episode of The Joel Klatt Show, Joel Klatt ranked the top 10 teams heading into the 2025 season, placing Miami at No. 8. He believes Beck could make the Hurricanes even stronger this season.

“Miami has gone and gotten a very experienced quarterback,” Klatt said. “Carson Beck is heading to Miami to try and replicate what Cam Ward was able to do this past year. Now, is Beck gonna be as good as Cam Ward? I don’t know. Ward was sensational in so many ways.”

“Is he going to be a very good option? Maybe not quite Cam Ward, but still a strong option? Yes, yes. And I kept saying this last year with Beck at Georgia—I never felt like it was completely his fault. Georgia’s skill position players led the country in drops. As a quarterback, what are you supposed to do? Put handles on the ball?” he added.

With his move to Miami, Beck could emerge as one of college football’s next big stars and a top candidate for the 2026 NFL Draft.
