On Tuesday afternoon, BYU Athletic Director Tom Holmoe announced his retirement after the academic year. Holmoe was the AD at BYU for 20 years and oversaw many impactful Cougars moments, including the introduction to the Big 12, multiple bowl wins, and success on the basketball court.
BYU head football coach Kalani Sitake took to social media to praise Holmoe and his commitment to the Cougars.

Holmoe had a major role in getting Sitake back to BYU as head coach in 2015, highlighting his ability to pick and support leaders who reflect the university’s standards and competitive spirit.

During his time in Provo, Holme was instrumental in moving Brigham Young to the Big 12.
