Breaking Down the Schedule of Non-Conference Games

The Cougars will begin their season at LaVell Edwards Stadium against Portland State on August 30. The game is supposed to be tuned up against a less difficult opponent before more challenging games. Right after that, the next week, BYU welcomes Stanford on Sept 6 — a game moved from its originally scheduled 2031 date.

The game will be an early-season test against an ACC foe. Wrapping up their non-conference schedule, the Cougars head to Greenville to meet East Carolina on Sept. 20. They will wrap up a four-game series with the Pirates.

    Conference Play

Coming into Big 12 play, BYU has a tough slate. The conference opener is a road game against Colorado on Sept. 27, a reprise of the Alamo Bowl from last year in which BYU won.

West Virginia comes to Provo on Oct. 3, the Mountaineers’ first visit ever to the city. Arizona is next on the road on Oct. 11 before a highly anticipated Homecoming game with in-state foe Utah on Oct. 18.

The second half of the season consists of road games against Iowa State (Oct. 25), Texas Tech (Nov. 8), and Cincinnati (Nov. 22).
