The contract is packed with performance-based incentives. For example, earning an eight-win regular season would get Belichick an additional $150K, with each consecutive win adding $50K. Winning the ACC title would result in a $300K bonus.
Participation in the College Football Playoff promises extra benefits, with incentives ranging from $750K for qualification to $1.75 million for securing the national championship.
UNC has also allocated huge assets to support Belichick’s goal, including $10 million for assistant coach salaries and $5.3 million for support staff.
