    Wednesday College Football Player Props

Jaden Nixon Under 81.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

Western Michigan has won its first four conference games, scoring 34+ in each, and the ground game has been a large reason why. The Broncos are 35th in the nation in offensive EPA per rush and 51st in rushing success rate, with RB Jaden Nixon (104-752-10 rushing line) leading the way.

He’s generated a 36+ yard run and surpassed 100+ rushing yards in five of the last six games, torching every defense across from him. However, Northern Illinois’ front seven isn’t the same as Kent State, Buffalo, Ball State, Marshall, or FCS-level Bethune-Cookman’s.

The Huskies have held offenses to less than 150 rushing yards in 15 of their last 21 games, rank 40th in tackles for loss, allow just 3.3 yards per carry, and haven’t allowed a single rush of 40+ yards all season.

We haven’t even mentioned Nixon splitting carries with former 100-yard back Jalen Buckley and the passing attack’s projected performance in Week 11. QB Hayden Wolff is completing 68% of his passes with a 15:3 TD-to-INT ratio and faces an NIU defense that ranks 113th in defensive EPA per pass.

Parker Navarro Over 72.5 Rushing Yards (-114)

At 3-1 in the conference, the Bobcats are still in the thick of the MAC race. Kent State (0-4), on the other hand, is far from it.

The Golden Flashes are 20.5-point underdogs at home, and that may even be too low. They’ve lost by an average margin of 29.6 points this season and haven’t won an FBS game since Nov. 26, 2022, at the Buffalo Bulls (30-27 in OT).

Thus, it should be all Ohio in this one. Even though QB Parker Navarro should be able to have more success through the air than he’s had this season (seven TDs to seven INTs with only one game over 205 passing yards), the Bobcats should continue to pound the rock.

Navarro has carried the ball 11+ times in all four conference contests for 408 of his 507 rushing yards on the year. In fact, he surpassed 80 yards in three of those games, with a strong Miami RedHawks defense holding him to the lone exception (38).

In case you need more numbers, here’s where how Kent State’s defense has performed this year:

    • EPA/play: 133rd
    • Defensive success rate: 131st
    • Opponent EPA/rush: 134th
    • Opponent yards per rush: 134th

Yeah, Navarro should have no issue cresting his rushing yardage over tonight.
