    Thursday College Football Player Props

Cam Fancher Under 209.5 Passing Yards

East Carolina has one of the weirder defenses in college football. On a per-play basis, the Pirates’ defense is one of the better Group of Five defenses. However, the overall yardage numbers don’t look great because while they don’t give up many big plays, they’re not very successful defensively, struggling to get off the field.

Cam Fancher and the Florida Atlantic offense are the opposite: terrible from down to down but propped up when they make explosive plays. I think the Pirates can get off the field against an FAU offense that is 130th in third-down percentage. If that’s the case, Fancher will have to make big plays to hit his number, and I don’t think East Carolina will allow that to happen.

Brayden Bennett Over 65.5 Rushing Yards

The Appalachian State run defense is so bad that it has dragged down a team that is otherwise one of the better groups in the Group of Five to a .500 record. Brayden Bennett is hitting his stride even as the Coastal Carolina offense has been playing from behind against solid defenses.

It would be coaching malpractice not to run Bennett at least 15 times against an Appalachian State defense allowing 5.7 yards per rush. I’ve seen this number as high as 70.5, so BetRivers has good value at 65.5 yards, and he should be able to get over by his 12th or 13th carry.
