In his true freshman season, he led the Cougars to an 11-1 regular season record, an appearance in the Big 12 championship, and within a hair’s breadth of the College Football Playoff. In the process, he became the Big 12 Offensive Freshman of the Year.

There’s a good chance that Dante Moore will decide to declare for the NFL following the current season. If he does, Dan Lanning would be left looking for a new quarterback. Why not Bachmeier? A move to Eugene could be great for him, working under one of the top offensive coaches in the nation and with a legitimate shot at a national championship.
