    Auburn Tigers GM Will Redmond is all praise for Deuce Knight and has shared insights on why the quarterback is a good signing for the program. The five-star recruit showcased what he was bringing to the team.

    Last month, when the Tigers concluded their spring practice session, Knight impressed the fans with his skills. The freshman who joined them in January as part of the 2025 recruiting class threw three touchdowns. His adapting abilities with other receivers were also something to talk about.

    Auburn GM Will Redmond Praises Deuce Knight’s Maturity and Skill After Eye-Catching Spring Practice Performance

    Meanwhile, Auburn’s GM is hopeful and has all faith in Knight.

    “You spend any time with Deuce Knight and you realize very quickly that you’re dealing with a highly capable and mature individual,” said Will Redmond during a conversation with J.D. Pickell. “Any room that he walks in, he can meet with folks. He can hold conversations.”

    Redmond looked impressed by the youngster’s confidence.

    “He’s confident, he’s poised. I love the cerebral nature of that for him as a quarterback,” Redmond said.

    Hailing from Lucedale, Mississippi, Knight stands 6’4″. The five-star dual-threat quarterback has already stunned everyone as he took over the practice session ahead of the upcoming season.

    The freshman attended George County High, where he was named the team captain. During his prep days, he recorded 7,855 passing yards with 56 TDs and 1,361 rushing yards with 31 career totals. Additionally, he was honored with the U.S. Navy All-American Bowl and the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Game.

    According to 247 Sports, Rivals, On3, and ESPN, Knight was ranked as one of the top three overall recruits from Mississippi. At his position, the American college football player was also rated the No. 2 recruit nationally by Rivals and ESPN. Growing up, he was a multi-sport player before he shifted his full focus to football.

    Knight also competed in the high jump and basketball. He won two state high jump trophies and one state long jump championship. Additionally, he lettered in basketball. 

    Meanwhile, Knight is set to compete for the backup role with another quarterback, Ashton Daniels, who transferred from Stanford and joined the Tigers in the offseason.
