The Alabama Crimson Tide suffered disappointment after a playoff-less campaign in 2024. The program’s first year in Nick Saban’s absence saw it finish the season with a 9-4 record, and despite the expanded 12-team playoff format, Kalen DeBoer’s unit couldn’t make it to the postseason.
While longtime starting quarterback Jalen Milroe is declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft, RB Jam Miller and WR Germie Bernard, returning leaders on ‘Bama’s offense, remain focused on leading Alabama back to glory.

Alabama Standouts Jam Miller, Germie Bernard Have Big Collegiate Dreams
Both Alabama Crimson Tide RB Jam Miller and WR Germie Bernard opted against declaring for the 2025 NFL Draft and will instead aim to return the Crimson Tide to national glory.
Miller, a Texas native, will play his fourth season in 2025 with one goal in mind.
“We all know what our one job is when we said we were coming back…winning that National Championship.”

“We all know what our one job is when we said was coming back…winning a national championship,” Miller said.
Meanwhile, Bernard, who previously played for Michigan State and Washington, is returning to play his fourth college season in 2025. Even he knows there’s more to be done in Tuscaloosa.
“And just some unfinished business, a nasty taste in my mouth. Just being back with some of the guys and having another shot to win a national championship,” Bernard said.
New OC Ryan Grubb To Call Plays for Crimson Tide in 2025
After spending a year apart, DeBoer and his former OC Grubb have once again reunited after previously being on the sidelines together during their time in Washington.
Grubb will be tasked with getting the most out of Miller, who rushed for 668 yards on 145 carries and seven touchdowns last season. Meanwhile, on the receiving front, Alabama’s OC will have two standout weapons in Ryan Williams and Bernard as WR1 and WR2, respectively.
