How is the 2025 SEC Season Structured?
Each of the 16 teams will play eight games against other teams in the SEC. Then, each team will play at least one game against teams outside the SEC, competing in other conferences such as the ACC, Big 12, and Big Ten.
In addition, each team will have two weeks without a game. This period is called “open dates,” which accommodates rescheduled games due to bad weather or unforeseen circumstances. This time can be used to sharpen skills and conduct more practice sessions for teams without a rescheduled game.
