Tank Dell Returns to Houston, Shows Off Camera Skills for Cougars Football

Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell returned to his alma mater, the Houston Cougars, to show off his photography skills.

Just a week after Baseball Hall of Famer Ken Griffey Jr. was spotted at the 2025 Masters Tournament, Dell was spotted at Houston’s practice by the Houston Chronicle’s Joseph Duarte “getting some work in” as a photographer.

Dell starred in Houston, racking up over 1,300 yards in his senior and fifth-year seasons on 199 receptions. As the Cougars’ number one receiver in 2022, Dell pulled in 109 receptions for 1,398 yards and 17 touchdowns. He earned First-team All-AAC honors both years.

The Texans selected Dell in the third round, 69th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft, making him the ninth wide receiver off the board. Dell immediately gelled with fellow rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud, and the duo became unstoppable, connecting for 47 receptions, 709 yards, and seven touchdowns in just 11 games.

The duo connected for an eight-reception, 149-yard, and one touchdown performance against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 11, before Dell suffered a fractured fibula against the Denver Broncos in Week 13 that would put him out for the season.

In Week 16 against the Kansas City Chiefs, Dell collided with teammate Jared Wayne on a touchdown grab, suffering a brutal season-ending injury that included a dislocated knee, multiple torn ligaments, and meniscus damage.
