Top Four Landing Spots For Aiden Harris

    1. Ohio State

This comes as no surprise. Ohio State has already extended an offer to Harris, and there is a strong possibility he will choose to play for the Buckeyes. With Ohio State losing all four of its starting defensive linemen to the 2025 NFL draft, the team is in need of defensive reinforcements. If Harris chooses the Buckeyes, he would be joining a program known for developing defensive linemen.

Following his Ohio State camp, Harris said in an interview with Ohio State Football at Buckeye Huddle, “I felt good. I feel like I lost one or two because I let him get to my chest area. So, you know, that was on me, but it went good. I’m just really out here to work. That’s it.” The 69.3% prediction from On3 suggests this could be one of Harris’ top choices. His previous visit to the Michigan game indicates his interest in the Buckeyes.

    2. Auburn

Auburn is another program that has offered Harris, and they have a significant need for defensive line help. Their defensive line is undergoing a complete overhaul under defensive coordinator DJ Durkin. The Tigers had a solid defense in 2024, finishing 31st in yards allowed per game and 28th in points allowed, but they are aiming for improvement.

Adding Harris to the roster could be the answer. In January, Auburn head coach Hugh Freeze visited Harris. Freeze even teased on X with a picture of Harris and himself captioned, “War eagles?? 🦅 @CoachHughFreeze”. With a 25.1% prediction from On3, Auburn remains a strong contender.

    3. South Carolina

South Carolina is also actively pursuing Harris. The Gamecocks are eager to land one of the top 50 prospects in the nation. While South Carolina has a good pipeline of EDGE talent, they need players like Harris who can make an impact on the interior. They are undoubtedly making a strong effort.

Harris recently visited South Carolina. He even posted on X, “Had a great time chilling at South Carolina today @CoachSBeamer @ROBERTSON_9TWO.” With a 2.0% prediction from On3, it’s considered a long shot, but the Gamecocks shouldn’t be dismissed entirely. Harris could potentially see significant playing time and have impactful games with South Carolina.

    4. NC State

NC State may be a long shot, with only a 1.4% prediction from On3, but the Wolfpack remains in the running. They extended their offer in June 2023 and have been actively recruiting the four-star defensive end. Harris has not yet ruled out the program. He has scheduled an official visit for June, providing NC State with a crucial opportunity to present its case.
