Gordon Sellars Puts Ohio State University Among His Final Six

Sellars caught 50 passes for 975 yards with 10 touchdowns as a junior last season, per Max Preps. The highly-coveted prospect has drawn significant interest from some of the top powers in college football, including the likes of the Buckeyes, Wolverines, Tigers, and more.

This recruiting battle features heated rivalries, including in-state competition out of South Carolina. The Gamecocks and Tigers are searching for a commitment from one of the nation’s top wide receivers.

Notably, Ohio State and Michigan signed top-six classes last cycle and competed for Sellars’s services. However, the Wolverines could have the upper hand since Ohio State offered him a late scholarship on March 17.

Georgia is one of college football’s biggest powerhouses, so you can never count out its ability to land top prospects. Location-wise, it is also very close to Sellars’s home in South Carolina.

“Thank you, Lord, for blessing me with these opportunities!” Sellars wrote on Twitter this past Tuesday. “WHERE IS HOME ??”

After committing, Sellars is scheduled to officially visit Clemson on May 30, South Carolina on June 6, Georgia on June 13, and Michigan on June 20. After his campus visit, Sellars had already visited Ohio State, where they offered him.

Over the next couple of months, hundreds of prospects will be visiting the collegiate level, and some will commit very soon. Sellars is certainly one of those people. He will commit fairly early, as he looks to have everything situated by April 18.

While it’s not clear where he will go, Sellars is one of the nation’s top wide receivers and is highly sought after. Whether he chooses the Buckeyes, Wolverines, Gamecocks, Tigers, or Aggies, he will make one team much better at the receiver spot.
