“I’m 100% back. Just got cleared, so I’ll be ‘full-go’ in spring ball. It was a little journey. It wasn’t nothing [sic] like my knee or anything, but I’m back,” he said. “No problems at all, knowing it’s behind me. I’ve fought through adversity before, so I’m shaped for this.”

Tyson’s top performance in the 2024 Territorial Cup against Arizona was halted short after suffering a shoulder injury during the second half. By the time of his injury, he had already tallied 143 yards and one touchdown on eight catches.

As QB Sam Leavitt’s trusted target and now roommate, Tyson’s absence was deeply felt in the Big 12 Championship against Iowa State Cyclones and the College Football Playoff quarterfinal against the Texas Longhorns.

In 12 regular-season games, Tyson recorded a team-high 1,101 receiving yards and 10 touchdown catches, ranking 10th among all FBS players in both categories.

The 2024 Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year was especially impactful late in the season when he exploded with 36 receptions for 543 yards and five touchdowns in Arizona State’s final four games.
