Leaked Cover Image Ignites Buzz for EA Sports College Football 26

Excitement is building for EA Sports College Football 26 following reports of a leaked Deluxe Edition cover image. According to On3, several college football stars and coaches gathered at the Rose Bowl for a photoshoot connected to the upcoming game.

Players reportedly involved in the shoot and in the viral cover image include Michigan quarterback Bryce Underwood, Florida quarterback DJ Lagway, LSU quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love, Alabama wide receiver Ryan Williams, Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, Ohio State safety Caleb Downs, Arizona State quarterback Sam Leavitt, and South Carolina EDGE Dylan Stewart.

Several sources also revealed that multiple cover editions are planned for 2026. This decision explains why so many prominent athletes and coaches were photographed.

The lineup is said to include a coaches’ cover featuring prominent figures such as Ohio State’s Ryan Day, Georgia’s Kirby Smart, Penn State’s James Franklin, Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin, Oregon’s Dan Lanning, and Arizona State’s Kenny Dillingham.

While an official release date for EA Sports College Football 26 is yet to be announced, the game is expected to arrive in the summer of 2026. The previous installment, College Football 25, marked the franchise’s triumphant return after being discontinued in 2013. The series originally ran from 1998 to 2013 under the Bill Walsh College Football and NCAA Football titles.

College Football 25, released last summer, became the largest new console game launch in North America in 2024. EA reported 6.5 million unique players and an estimated $400 million in sales from the game.

“We went into it knowing there was a lot of stuff we couldn’t get into the first year,” EA Sports senior vice president Daryl Holt told The Athletic. “So there’s a lot of meat left on the bone.”
