No. 1 CB Jorden Edmonds Sets Alabama Official Visit, Delays Commitment Decision

Jorden Edmonds, the No. 1 ranked cornerback in the class of 2026, was originally expected to announce his commitment in February but has delayed his decision until the end of June.

The Georgia native is one of the most highly touted recruits in the country, ranked as a five-star and racking in 43 total offers. He previously had set up official visits with the Georgia Bulldogs and Tennessee Volunteers in the spring. Edmonds has now added one more team to his list, and it might be the school he ends up playing at.

Jorden Edmonds Sets Alabama Official Visit

Edmonds announced he’s adding an official visit to the Alabama Crimson Tide at the end of June before he announces his commitment decision. Edmonds is truly good enough to play anywhere, and three of the top teams in the SEC are dueling to get him.

Edmonds is expected to visit Georgia on an OV at the end of May, then Tennessee in mid-June, and then Tuscaloosa at the end of June.

While Edmonds is visiting Alabama last, many experts expect that he’ll end up on Kalen Deboer’s squad. Back on Feb. 10, 247Sports’ Alabama insider Brett Greenberg logged a crystal ball prediction for the young corner to end up at Alabama, and with the visit being scheduled, it sounds like it’s becoming increasingly likely.

While Alabama fans should feel pretty good about Edmonds’ current recruitment status, being last on the official visit schedule could throw a wrench in these plans if either Georgia head coach Kirby Smart or Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel can get him to commit while on campus.

Edmonds’ recruitment should be a fun one to follow this offseason, and whichever of these teams winds up with him is going to be very happy.
