Josh Pate’s Bold Prediction for the College Football Playoff
College football analyst Josh Pate recently chatted about the teams that he thinks could appear in the College Football Playoff for the first time next season.
Pate also mentioned on his show that Texas A&M could also be a potential candidate. But starting with Ole Miss, the Rebels have come close to making the College Football Playoff each of the last few years under head coach Lane Kiffin.
The Rebels have won 10+ games in three out of the last four years, including 11 games in 2023. At the end of the regular season, the team finished just two spots outside of the College Football Playoff.
Even though the team is losing Jaxson Dart at quarterback, Kiffin has built a winning culture down in Oxford. Do not make the mistake of sleeping on the Rebels.
When it comes to the Miami Hurricanes, their huge move to land transfer quarterback Carson Beck has kept them in the dance after losing Cam Ward to the NFL. Head coach Mario Cristobal and Co. finished one spot shy of making the College Football Playoff at the end of the regular season.
Cristobal guided the Hurricanes to their best season in three years last year, going 10-3.
It has been a bit since Miami was in a prime position to contend for a national title and relive the glory days.
