In one of the more surprising occurrences in the history of the NFL Combine, there was reportedly a heated exchange between NFL insiders Ian Rapoport and Jordan Schultz.
According to fellow insider Mike Florio, the exchange occurred at a Starbucks in downtown Indianapolis, which prompted yet another insider, ESPN’s Adam Schefter, to have some fun with a social media post.

Schefter’s decision to poke a little fun at the situation between Rapoport and Schultz was something that NFL fans perhaps didn’t see coming.
While nothing in sports is ever much of a shock anymore, an argument between two prominent reporters was pretty stunning.
If fans were hoping to get a little more insight into what happens both on and off the field at the NFL Combine, they certainly got a taste of that with this situation.
What Led to the Argument?
Perhaps what led to the argument was the recent news surrounding Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.
Schultz initially reported that current Las Vegas Raiders minority owner Tom Brady hosted Stafford on a visit to a Montana ski resort. However, Rapoport later reported that the meeting was unplanned and not hosted by Brady.
When reporters have conflicting reports, that can lead to a heated exchange like the one between Rapoport and Schultz. Especially in this particular offseason, there could be plenty of tension between reporters, seeing the likes of Aaron Rodgers, Matthew Stafford, Russell Wilson, Tee Higgins, Trey Hendrickson, Cooper Kupp, and Jaire Alexander are either on the market or on the trade block.
