Shedeur Sanders won’t participate in workouts at the combine but will meet with NFL GMs and coaching staff.
Sportskeeda’s Tony Pauline said in an Athlon Sports article that teams are concerned about Sanders’ lack of progression in 2024.
“Teams I’ve spoken with are concerned Sanders showed no real progress in his game last season, unlike Ward, and that he will need a lot of coaching to rid some of the poor throwing fundamentals he displayed this past season,” Pauline wrote.
Daniel Jeremiah says he has other preferences for Sanders than the New York Giants and that Sanders would rank as the QB7 on his board in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Jeremiah says Cam Ward is more equipped to meet the New York Giants’ needs in a weak quarterback class.

“But some of the other things that Cam has, [Sanders] doesn’t have, which is just a little bit more twitch in his body. [Ward] has a more live arm.”
Jeremiah also speculated that Ward would go at No. 2 to the Cleveland Browns and that he would select cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter.
