As confirmed by beat reporters for the Badgers, Stienecker recently departed for Los Angeles to join Southern Cal.

Stienecker played a critical role in Wisconsin’s recruiting efforts under head coach Luke Fickell. At just 24 years old, he helped assemble the program’s highest-ranked recruiting class in history, with 11 four-star signings in 2024. The 2025 class, which he also helped shape, currently ranks No. 26 nationally.
Originally following Fickell from Cincinnati to Wisconsin in 2022, Stienecker quickly became an essential part of the Badgers’ recruiting operation. He worked alongside Wisconsin’s Director of Recruiting, Pat Lambert, overseeing the recruitment of running backs, tight ends, and linebackers.
Stienecker’s ability to connect with players was well known, with recruits like Sam Lateju crediting him as a major reason for choosing Wisconsin.
The recruiting guru will now reunite with Chad Bowden, USC’s newly appointed recruiting director, who previously worked with him at Cincinnati. The Trojans have consistently struggled to land top-tier recruits in recent years, and their hiring of Stienecker is part of a broader effort to turn things around.
