Landon Duckworth, a highly sought-after quarterback recruit from Jackson, Alabama, can do it all on the football field, passing and rushing for touchdowns — while also showcasing the ability to poster defenders on the basketball court.
2026 4-Star QB Landon Duckworth Shows Elite Athleticism on the Basketball Court
Duckworth, a four-star quarterback recruit in the class of 2026, displayed his insane leaping ability and athleticism in a high school basketball game.
With the ball on the fast break, Duckworth elevated and windmilled for a rim-rattling slam — plus the foul. The gym went crazy, as did his teammates.

Not many athletes can do that, much less a quarterback. The Jackson, Alabama native stands 6’3″, 190 pounds, and apparently possesses other-worldly hops.
While showing talent on the court, his best skill is on the gridiron. Duckworth led Jackson High School to an 11-1 record as the starter during his sophomore season in 2023, advancing to the quarterfinals of Alabama’s 4A state playoffs.
Duckworth completed 118 of 196 passes for 1,971 yards and 27 touchdowns with only four interceptions. He also compiled 371 yards and five TDs with his legs.
He took his game to another level this past season, improving his completion percentage while throwing for 3,439 yards and 39 TDs vs. 10 interceptions while rushing for 12 scores and another 648 yards.

The attention from recruiters has followed. He’s collected 25 offers from D1 programs, according to 247Sports, with the likes of the Oregon Ducks, Florida State Seminoles, and Georgia Bulldogs among them.
247Sports has him listed as the eighth-ranked quarterback in the nation.
If Duckworth continues his dominance on the field — and unreal athleticism on the basketball court — he’ll have his choice of where he wants to play at the college level as a highly-anticipated quarterback recruit.
