Quarterback Dillon Gabriel played at three schools throughout his college career. He started at UCF, transferred to Oklahoma, and finished his career with the Oregon Ducks. To pay homage to each of the teams he’s played for, he had a unique Senior Bowl helmet designed, displaying all three logos.
Dillon Gabriel’s College Career
Gabriel originally committed to the Army Black Knights in 2018 as a senior in high school. After his commitment to Army, he started to gain more and more hype and eventually de-committed from West Point before deciding to play college ball at UCF.
The 2024 Heisman finalist balled out during his freshman and sophomore seasons with the Golden Knights. He threw for 7,223 yards, 61 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in his first two college seasons — an unbelievable stat line.
But disaster struck Gabriel during his junior year. He suffered a collarbone injury, which sidelined him after only three games.
At the end of his junior season, he received a medical redshirt, and with the COVID year, he had three more years of eligibility left. He hit the transfer portal and committed to the Oklahoma Sooners in 2022.
Gabriel picked up right where he left off by throwing for 6,828 yards, 55 TDs, and 12 INTs in two years with the Sooners. He solidified himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the country and decided to hit the portal one last time before declaring for the NFL Draft.
In January 2024, Gabriel announced his decision to transfer to Oregon and lead the Ducks’ offense.

His final year of college was his best. Gabriel threw for 3,857 yards, 30 TDs, and six INTs on the way to a 13-0 regular season and Big Ten Championship victory against Penn State. Oregon entered the College Football Playoff as the No. 1 seed, and Gabriel finished third in the Heisman Trophy voting.
It would be an understatement to say that each of Gabriel’s college stops was successful. He had a long and, at times, tumultuous college career, but he values each and every team he played for, which is why he’s repping all three of them at the Senior Bowl.
