Why Is Ohio State the Favorite?

Many top Buckeyes players announced their return to Columbus because they believed they could repeat as national champions. Still, 10-15 Ohio State players are expected to be selected in the upcoming NFL Draft. Regardless, the Buckeyes are attempting a “reload” instead of a traditional rebuild.

One of the biggest highlights for next season will be redshirt quarterback Julian Sayin, who transferred from the Alabama Crimson Tide last summer. Another notable name is WR Carnell Tate, who had an impressive outing in the semifinal against Texas.

Ohio State’s dominance in the College Football Playoff could just be the start of Day’s dynasty. The return of exceptional players to the roster makes them one of the top contenders to raise the trophy next season.
