‘I Hadn’t Been to a Bowl Game in 30 Years’ – Miami Great Warren Sapp Gives Closer Look at Colorado’s Luxurious Rolls Royce Plane for Bowl Game Ride

The Colorado Buffaloes arrived in style -- a Rolls Royce plane -- and defensive coach Warren Sapp gave fans a behind-the-scenes tour of the Buffs' ride.

The Colorado Buffaloes arrived in style to face the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl on Saturday. The Coach Prime Effect is in full swing, with the Buffaloes reminding everyone they’re in a league of their own.

Warren Sapp, Colorado’s senior quality control analyst, shared a nearly two-minute video on his Instagram account showcasing the team’s luxurious transportation—a Rolls Royce-equipped plane. The Boeing 777-200, featuring Rolls Royce Trent 800 engines, will carry the Buffaloes to their matchup against the Cougars. True to form, the plane lives up to the hype.

Colorado’s Warren Sapp Shows Off Team’s Luxurious Rolls Royce Plane

Warren Sapp was visibly excited as he walked towards the plane, eager to show it off. With a grin on his face, he said, “Alright, y’all know I don’t normally do this but, I haven’t been to a bowl game in 30 years.”

The luxurious Boeing 777 was custom-designed for the Colorado team, as evidenced by “COLORADO” emblazoned boldly on both sides of the plane and the slogan “I Believe” displayed alongside the iconic Rolls-Royce logo. While the aircraft itself wasn’t manufactured by Rolls-Royce, it features powerful Rolls-Royce Trent 800 engines.

Inside, the plane boasts a spacious cabin with comfortable seating, individual screens at each seat, and ample legroom.

Coach Prime jokingly remarked that if the Buffaloes lose their upcoming game against the Cougars, they’ll be downgraded to Southwest Airlines.

“If we don’t handle our business, we’ll be on Southwest on the way back,” Sanders quipped. True to Deion Sanders’ style, there was likely a sliver of truth in his humor—a sentiment that might resonate with fans concerned about this lavish display being a distraction.

High Stakes for Colorado’s First Game With BYU Since 1988

The Colorado Buffaloes face a challenging matchup against BYU. The 9-3 Buffaloes and the Cougars have not played each other since the 1988 Freedom Bowl, a game BYU won 20-17.

Colorado holds a 7-3-1 record against BYU in their last 11 meetings and will aim to secure a win this weekend.

This isn’t just another game for the Buffaloes. The Alamo Bowl marks their first bowl appearance in four years, showcasing the program’s progress under Deion Sanders’ leadership. Colorado’s standout players, including quarterback Shedeur Sanders and Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter, will suit up for the game, defying the growing trend of players sitting out bowl games to avoid injuries ahead of the NFL Draft.

The Buffaloes are listed as 4-point favorites, and tensions are high as college football fans eagerly anticipate this clash between two Big 12 powerhouses. Hunter will aim to deliver a standout performance, silencing critics who questioned his Heisman win.

Colorado, as a team, is determined to bring its best to San Antonio and contribute to an unforgettable bowl game.
