Here’s how the MAC was won:

    1. Miami (OH) — 8-4 overall, 7-1 MAC
    2. Ohio — 9-3, 7-1
    3. Bowling Green — 7-5, 6-2
    4. Buffalo — 8-4, 6-2

All four of these teams were alive when the weekend started with Buffalo winning their game on Tuesday to stay alive.

By virtue of Ohio defeating Ball State and Miami defeating Bowling Green, both Ohio and Miami punched their tickets to the MAC Championship Game on Friday afternoon.

Miami defeated Bowling Green, 28-12, while Ohio dominated Ball State from the jump, winning 42-21 when all was said and done.

Entering the MAC Championship Game, Ohio is riding a five-game winning streak compared to Miami’s seven-game winning streak as these two are clearly the hottest teams in the MAC this season. It’s Miami’s third appearance in six seasons while Ohio returns to the game after making it back in 2022.

This historic occasion takes the Battle of the Bricks to new heights as this marks the first MAC Championship Game in a season with no divisions. The two outright leaders are set to meet again as Miami defeated Ohio, 30-20, back in mid-October, Ohio’s only MAC loss of the season.

CFN will have a full prediction of this game in the coming days.
