The latest Heisman Trophy odds are in and it’s a one-man show as we head into the last two weeks of the college football season. That’s right, for the first time since the season started, we have an odds-on favorite to win the Heisman.
That player, of course, is Colorado Buffaloes star Travis Hunter.
Travis Hunter Heisman Odds: -360 (was +130)
Hunter’s place in New York for the Heisman ceremony was all but guaranteed a week ago when he vaulted back into the lead for the Trophy. Now, after a dominant and historic showing in Week 12, Hunter’s almost guaranteed to hoist the trophy when he does visit New York in a few week’s time.
He sealed the deal with a rushing touchdown late in the game, recorded a ridiculous fourth-down converting catch over two defenders, and nabbed an interception in the Buffs’ win over Utah. In doing so, Hunter became the first player in nearly 30 years to secure an interception, record a rushing touchdown, and have over 40 yards receiving.
That kind of uniqueness to Hunter’s game is what comes of brilliance on both sides of the ball. No one has done the things that Hunter has done as a receiver and a defensive back in this (or potentially any) generation.
Hunter is a unicorn. A dominant receiver and a lockdown cornerback. An ironman on both sides of the ball. If you got your Hunter Heisman tickets back when he was plus money following an injury, good on you, because they’re about to cash big time.
Ashton Jeanty Heisman Odds: +380 (was +300)
Something told us Ashton Jeanty’s historic pace was too good to withstand for a 12-game season. And yet, Jeanty is so good that he’s worn down defenses and still garnered ridiculous statistics on the ground over his past few outings, mostly in the second half of games.
Jeanty leads the nation in rushing yards, touchdowns, and average yards per carry based on full-time running backs. He also leads the nation in scoring, averaging a ridiculous 18.0 points per game, or simply, more than Florida State’s entire offense averages per game.
In fact, Jeanty is averaging more points per game than eight FBS teams. He’ll have to keep that up and perhaps put up even more ridiculous numbers — particularly in the first half — as they continue their march to the Mountain West Championship.
If anyone has a chance to catch Hunter, it’s Jeanty.
Cameron Ward Heisman Odds: +1300 (was +800)
The Miami Hurricanes were idle in Week 12, yet Cameron Ward saw his odds nearly double. That’s the Hunter Effect for you and the fact that Ward dropped his last outing all the same.
Still, Ward has a chance to win the last two convincingly and then win the ACC Championship over a potentially stout SMU defense that gives up very little to QBs. If Ward can win the next three, he’ll certainly leave a more positive taste in the minds of voters closer to when the final ballots are due.
Dillon Gabriel Heisman Odds: +2500 (was +300)
The way the Oregon offense has been playing as of late doesn’t bode well for Dillon Gabriel ticket holders. It almost didn’t bode well for the Ducks as a team in Week 12 when they needed a come-from-behind victory over Wisconsin to stay undefeated.
For Gabriel, he’s become the sport’s all-time passing touchdown leader in 2024 and is still eyeing a potential run at the all-time passing yards mark if they can make it through to the national championship. But for his Heisman candidacy, it’s all but over at this point.
Gabriel hasn’t set the world on fire like a Heisman QB would be doing at this point and the Ducks are set to ride the run game it appears into the Big Ten Championship. He does, however, have a potential rematch against Ohio State that would give him two wins over arguably the best team in football right now.
If he and the Ducks can do that, maybe, just maybe, those long odds will come to fruition.
Kurtis Rourke Heisman Odds: +3000 (was +1500)
If there’s one long shot that’s potentially still worth the ticket price, it’s Indiana QB Kurtis Rourke. He’s proved how valuable he is to his team but also shown his worth and overall talent on a per-play basis as much as any other QB in the country.
What Rourke has going for him, however, is the fact that Indiana is set to be a large underdog against Ohio State in Week 13. If they are able to knock off OSU, they’d clinch a spot in the Big Ten Championship where they’d likely be a large underdog to Oregon.

If Rourke does the improbable and pushes his team to a 13-0 Big Ten Championship season with wins over Ohio State and Oregon, then the Heisman is his. It’s a big if, obviously, but Rourke has the best odds to shock the world, impress the voters, and bring home the trophy.
