Is Bryson Daily Playing This Week? Latest Injury Update for Army QB Is Promising

Bryson Daily was a surprise scratch in Week 10, but all signs point to his return in Week 11. However, there is cause for concern as he may not play the whole game for Army.

Last week, Army Black Knights QB Bryson Daily was a surprise scratch against the Air Force Falcons. Now, on the road in Week 11, Army fans are hoping Daily’s injury was just a one-game issue, as their offense limped to a less-than-decisive performance a week ago.

Is Bryson Daily Playing vs. North Texas?

As it stands right now, it appears that Daily will be a full go against the North Texas Mean Green. According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Daily will return to action and make the start for Army in Week 11 against the Mean Green.

Daily is truly the key cog in the Army offense, producing near-record performances left and right. He led Army to an undefeated 7-0 start and has the program eyeing a trip to the College Football Playoffs, with an American Athletic Conference Championship in the process.

With him missing from action a week ago, Army limped to a 20-3 victory over a hapless Air Force team, clearly showing his worth to the team as they looked lost and off schedule without him in the lineup.

Thamel not only updated the status of Daily in a promising update, he also said that Daily appeared to look completely like himself and should be starting. However, his two-week absence gave growing concerns to whether or not he can play a full game.

As such, fans can expect to see Dewayne Coleman get some snaps for Army in Week 11 against North Texas.

    What Happened to Bryson Daily?

Daily had reportedly missed out on practicing a week ago in the lead-up to the Air Force game, but never was expected to miss the game. That changed, however, after he was scrubbed late from the starting lineup and replaced by Coleman.

Being listed as an undisclosed injury, the actuality behind Daily’s absence is not publicly known.

Daily returned to the practice field on Thursday of Week 11 after missing Army’s Week 10 game against the Falcons. He practiced for the first time on Friday before the program left for Texas.

With Daily at the helm, the Black Knights lead the nation by averaging over 340 yards per game on the ground.
