1) Josiah Johnson
- Previous School
UMass - Year
Redshirt Senior - Eligibility
One year - College Football Network Transfer Portal Ranking
3 – Group of Five Starter
A wealth of experience, Josiah Johnson doesn’t quite have the statistics you’d think of when it comes to a Group of Five starter, but he’s a well-rounded, three-down tight end at any level. The big man has great blocking skills and has seen just about everything on the football field.
He averages nearly 10 yards per catch in five seasons at UMass and should present as a valuable add wherever he lands.

2) Arik Gibert
- Previous School
Georgia - Year
Junior - Eligibility
Three years - College Football Network Transfer Portal Ranking
3 – Group of Five Starter
The jury is still out on Arik Gilbert’s talent at the tight end position. He had a solid true freshman campaign at LSU in 2020 but followed that up with a year off and just two receptions in three appearances at Georgia in 2022.
The talent is absolutely there but other questions have surrounded his college career so far. Does Gilbert find a new home that actually feels like home for him? Are the weight issues a real concern? We’ll get our answers sooner than later.
3) Keleki Latu
- Previous School
Cal - Year
Junior - Eligibility
Three years - College Football Network Transfer Portal Ranking
3 – Group of Five Starter
Going off of recruiting platform, Keleki Latu is one of the top available TE prospects this transfer portal cycle. Latu has some size to fill out still, as he stands at 6’6″ and 230 pounds, but he understands how to use his size well.
Latu’s appeared in a multitude of games and lined up all over the field but has certainly been his best as a pro-style tight end on the inside. Latu does very well over the middle of the field and should continue to be a player on the rise.
