After opening as 10-point favorites, the Black Knights quickly saw a 3.5-point swing in their favor. The line moved back a bit in Temple’s favor but still sits at 12 the morning of kickoff.
Not only are they 3-0 straight up this season, but they are also 5-0 against the spread in their last five games.

Although the points spread and moneyline moved early in the week, the latter only slightly shifted as the game drew closer, growing a minute amount in favor of Army by midweek before settling where it is prior to kickoff.
The over hasn’t fared as well in Army games, with the under hitting in four of the program’s last six road games. However, the over has cashed in seven of the team’s last nine contests against Owls.
Prediction for Army vs. Temple
Alright, prediction time!
Army. That’s the prediction. It’s as simple as that.

The Black Knights’ revamped triple-option scheme has led to 356 rushing yards per game, the second-best mark in the country. For those more analytically inclined, they are third in EPA per rush, while Temple’s defense is 107th in that category — the unit stands no chance.
Army could hit the over on its own if the offense keeps its foot on the pedal, but even if they don’t, the Owls could put up some garbage time points. Led by Evan Simon in Week 4, Temple put up 45 points, the most total points they’ve scored since Week 10 of the 2022 season against a hapless USF defense.
Dante Wright is the star for the Owls at wide receiver, but he hasn’t faced a secondary quite like the Black Knights this season. Starting CBs Jaydan Mayes and Donavon Platt haven’t allowed a touchdown and have each ripped off an interception this season. That should continue in this one, even if you’re thinking Temple could get some garbage-time points.
But if you believe that’s too risky, just take Army ATS and moneyline.
Prediction: Army 38, Temple 13
