Scot Loeffler has been head coach of the Bowling Green Falcons since 2018 and is starting to see some reward for his patience. After consecutive losing seasons early in his tenure, the ship is starting to be corrected.
It has taken several seasons for Loeffler to get to winning ways. However, after a recent contract extension and his first winning season, things are not looking so down for the Bowling Green head coach.
What is Loeffler’s salary and contract for the upcoming season?
Scot Loeffler’s Salary and Contract in 2024
In March 2023, Loeffler signed a contract extension with Bowling Green with $1.74 million over three years, report the Sentinal Tribune. The deal goes up incrementally and will pay him $580,000 in 2024 and $600,000 in 2025.
2023 marked Loeffler’s first year on his new deal, which paid $560,000, an increase on his former contract. The Falcons’ head coach had originally signed a five-year deal in 2018 worth $2.6 million, paying an average of $525,000 annually.

Loeffler earned his contract extension and salary raise after guiding Bowling Green to success not seen since the Dave Clawson and Dino Babers eras. In 2022, he guided the Falcons to a winning record in the MAC and bowl appearance the first time since 2015.
As Loeffler’s first head coaching job, Bowling Green is paying him more than his previous stops as an assistant.
The Falcons’ head coach started his coaching career in 1996 as a graduate assistant at Michigan, but more recently has had stops as an offensive coordinator with Temple, Auburn, Virginia Tech, and Boston College.
While Loeffler’s salary in Boston is not public, USA Today shed some light on how much he was paid at other destinations.
At Virginia Tech, Loeffler made $150,000 in 2013, $400,000 in 2014, and $429,000 in 2015. As offensive coordinator at Auburn in 2012, the now-Bowling Green head coach made $525,000.
