2024 NFL Draft Declarations – Which Underclassmen Are Returning to College Football?

The 2024 season may be getting a boost next fall and CFN is tracking all of those underclassmen who have stated their intentions to return to college football.

The 2023 college football season is nearly in the books and bowl season is rapidly approaching. With the end of the season comes a difficult decision for many student-athletes surrounding their future in the sport.

To turn pro or not to turn pro is the question and our 2024 NFL Draft declaration tracker is looking right at those players who are choosing to stay in college.

2024 NFL Draft Declarations – Which Underclassmen Are Returning?

It’s important to note the list below indicates players who have publicly stated that they are returning to school. While there are certain rumors around players at this time, and likely before the official deadline, rumors will continue to swirl.

College student-athletes have until January 15, 2024, to declare for special eligibility for the 2024 NFL Draft.

Here are those who have officially stated their intentions to return to school in 2024.

Jaxson Dart made it official after he flashed brilliance at times during the 2023 season. Dart has carved up defenses in 2023 and had a memorable back-and-forth game against LSU.

Against the Tigers, Dart actually out-dueled LSU’s Jayden Daniels, who is seen among the finalists for the Heisman Trophy this season.

Jalon Daniels’ 2023 season was marred with an injury, but when he was healthy, he was a Heisman candidate in his own right. Daniels has had injury-shortened seasons in the past two years, and a clean bill of health in 2024 would set him off as one of the top signal-callers in the country.

Utah QB Cam Rising stated his intentions to return to Utah in 2024, but as he is not an underclassman, he is not included here. Rising will enter his seventh year in college football if he were to return to the field in 2024.

There is also speculation around Texas QB Quinn Ewers. One report stated Ewers had made up his mind to return, while another said he hadn’t made any thoughts on the decision just yet. Ewers will be one of the more intriguing players to watch as we continue to inch closer to the declaration date.

We will update this list as more players make their declarations.
