In a play you truly have to see to believe, the West Virginia Mountaineers sparked their offense via the other side of the ball. West Virginia defensive back Beanie Bishop Jr. maintained his balance, saw a ball in the air, and nabbed a pick.
But it was how the ball deflected in the air that made this play special and truly flukey.
WVU DB Beanie Bishop Makes INT Off Foot Deflection
You just truly have to see Bishop grab this interception off a deflection.
UCF WR Javon Baker loses his balance adjusting a go route, and as he’s falling, the ball clangs off his hands and then off his feet before bouncing back into the air.
Bishop keeps his balance on his own adjustment and athletically returns to the ball for this ridiculous interception.

Making this interception even more intriguing was the fact that UCF QB John Rhys Plumlee hadn’t thrown a single incompletion prior to this play.
West Virginia led UCF 10-7 at the time and took a 17-7 lead on the following possession.
